This was a great assignment. AAA Quick Getaways is a regional guide to attractions for travelers. This edition was the ‘West’ and I was asked to illustrate 10 interesting ‘factoids’ about this area. Here are a few of my favorites illustrations from the job. I included the fact so you could learn something too!
Last Sunday I had another illustration published in the Chicago Tribune’s style section. It is pretty self-explanatory. Personally I had never heard of this problem, nor have I really seen it, but apparently it is quite a big issue. And as is usually the case, the drawing was fun to do.
Well here again is another Gulfshore Business spot. This month the subject is the importance of a proper hello and goodbye. Basically manners. I chose to illustrate this by showing a guy who had just been “left hanging”. See you next month! Â

This is my latest published illustration. It was a great article on the music and culture of 1920s Iraq for the UTNE reader.
